The measures of climate are averages of data collected at weather stations from 1961 to 1990.

The weather information covers all sides of Iceland. The capital city of Reykjavík is in southwest Iceland. Stykkishólmur lies north of Reykjavík, on the west coast.

Along Iceland's north coast is the city of Akureyri, and the village of Raufarhöfn, located on the northeastern tip of the Melrakkaslétta peninsula, in northeast Iceland. Dalatangi sits on the outer edge of Iceland's eastern coast.

In south Iceland is the village of Kirkjubaejarklaustur. Vestmannaeyjar is a town on the Westman Islands, off Iceland's south coast.
