Average Sunshine in the Netherlands for January

The tables below give January averages for the amount of sunshine at cities and other places in the Netherlands.

Each location has three measures for how much sun it typically gets this month. The number for % Sun is the usual percentage of daylight hours with sunshine.

Hours gives the total hours of sunshine that's normal this month. Days statistics are for the typical number of days in January with any amount of measurable sunshine. All the data are averages for the years 1991 to 2020.

You can jump to a separate table for each region of the country: North Netherlands, East Netherlands, West Netherlands and South Netherlands.

North Netherlands covers the provinces of Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe. East Netherlands includes Overijssel, Gelderland and Flevoland. West Netherlands provinces are Utrecht, North Holland, South Holland and Zeeland. South Netherlands has North Brabant and Limburg provinces.
