Summer temperatures at The Vineyard are what many people would consider idyllic. About half the days have highs in the 70s Fahrenheit, with the rest reaching the 80s. Typically, only two days a year make it into the 90s. A day that hot can happen anytime from May to September, but is most likely during July.
How Often Martha's Vineyard Has Cold Temperatures
Temperatures can descend to freezing at The Vineyard from October through to April, and sometimes as late as May. Edgartown typically has 92 frosty nights a year, including most of January and February. While the coldest nights drop below 10 °F, the temperature plummets to 0 °F (-18 °C) only about once a decade.
