About the Author
Current Results is compiled and written by Liz Osborn, principal of Current Results Nexus.
Liz has a multidisciplinary background in environmental research, management and communications. Her education includes university degrees in forestry and biology (BSc Honours), wildland resource science (MSc) and natural resources management (MRM).
Liz recently served for over five years on the British Columbia Forest Practices Board, including as vice-chair and acting chair. Previously she was executive director of the Outdoor Recreation Council of BC. In addition, she has conducted research and worked in various countries in Africa. Besides producing Current Results, Liz consults in environmental communications.
Liz is a Registered Professional Biologist with the College of Applied Biology in British Columbia. She contributes regular “Journal Watch” columns to the College’s BioNews magazine and to BC Forest Professional published by the Association of BC Forest Professionals. She also writes about equine research at Horse Science News.
