Hurricanes and Tropical Storms
With hurricane season in full swing, there's about a two percent chance of a hurricane happening in August around southern parts of Dominican Republic. Throughout the country there's potential for tropical storms. The likelihood of a major storm approaching this month ranges from 10 percent in the southeast to 4 percent in the northwest region.
