Reptiles and Amphibians No Longer in Canada

Three reptiles, all once native to BC, have disappeared from Canada, although they still exist in the western United States.

One amphibian might also be extinct in Canada, the northern cricket frog (Acris crepitans) of Ontario. The province is at the northern fringe of the frog's extensive range in North America.
